Behind the Lens Series - Newborn Pictures

Being a photographer in Fort Mill, there are so many opportunities to help people and capture unscripted moments. It’s a young town and a great place to raise a family. I was recently asked by a family to take newborn pictures of their third child. I’ve taken different types of pictures but have had limited opportunities for newborn photography due to travel and the large amount of sports photography that I’ve been doing. However, I was really excited about this opportunity as we are about to welcome a new grandbaby into our family. Even though I didn’t have a ton of experience with newborn photography, I was confident I could deliver high quality pictures that meet and exceed expectations.

A really helpful tool I have at my disposal to share with prospective clients is an app called unscripted. It provides photographers with a host of resources from booking tools, weather and sun updates for perfect outdoor photography, as well as lots of examples across different types of photography. It helps provide ideas, spur creativity and make the process fun and engaging. This was a great opportunity that ended up with a fantastic outcome for the family.
